Awakening is a meditation center, in the spiritual tradition of Kriya Yoga, affiliated with the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment (CSE), with world headquarters in San Jose, CA. Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian, Founding Teacher and Spiritual Director of CSE, was ordained to teach in 1982 by Roy Eugene Davis, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda who brought the teachings of Kriya Yoga from India to the West. The Awakening community carries on the vision of individual and planetary awakening to spiritually conscious fulfilled living.
